Larry Pizzi and I attended the Urban Press camp held March 6-8 at the House Of Sweden in Washington DC on the banks of the scenic and historic Potomac River. Press Camp was produced by Lifeboat events, the same folks that produce Dealer Camp to be held in Park City later this year. The idea was to bring together brands from the bicycle industry and meet with influential members of the press to raise awareness for our category.
The folks from Lifeboat did an amazing job of site selection, planning and executing. Larry and I had an opportunity to present our product to the likes of the LA Times, The Washington Post, Dirt Rag, Momentum and Brain just to name few. The event was held at the House of Sweden in Washington D.C. which houses the Embassy of Sweden, the Embassy of Iceland and an ultra-modern event Center. The place is just spectacular as you can see from the photos below.
